Everything there were very good, including really good facilities. Comfortable beds and LOVELY views. Fab food for the continental breakfast. Location not far from pub, Wokingham, Thorpe park. Also, to the shop for info on the local town. Such a pleasant stay for one night.

Comfortable . Pleasant staff . Car parking for guests. Easy accessability to Wokingham or Reading .
Some minor stains on carpet and furniture in room .

The Friendliness of the staff and the customers in the attached pub. They went shopping in order to cater for my daughter's wheat intolerance, and also for Earl Grey tea when she expressed a preference. Could not have hoped for a more congenial stay.

The rooms were very clean and very comfortable, relatively spacious (not like your usual hotel chains). My husband and I, and my mother-in- law, needed rooms near my father's home in Winnersh - we were going to go out for a meal, and really just needed a nice room and breakfast in the morning. Not the type of hotel to go to if you want an "experience" - the hotel itself doesn't have a theme, and it's not close enough to any train stations that can take you into Reading for that "city" experience. However, I was very impressed with the room quality, and the breakfast was superb (Cereals and juice as self-serve, and a Full English Breakfast cooked perfectly - even if it did cost an extra £7 per person). For a short, overnight stay with a reasonable price, this hotel is ideal!
The TV's could've been bigger, and the tv in my mother-in-law's room didn't work. The lock on our room door was bent, so it was difficult to lock and unlock. I'd picked my mother-in-law up from the airport in the morning, and I had requested an early check-in for her. However, when we got there, no one was around (fortunately, I could take her to my father's home while we waited for them to open). Not major inconveniences, but the hotel would've received 10/10 from us if it wasn't for these few oddities.

Smart,Clean and wholesome. Suited us well for an Orchid Fayre at Dinton Pastures.
A couple of plastic glasses in the bathroom, please. Lighting most odd. One doesn't expect all lights, except bathroom,to turn off from any switch in the room. Suppose one wants to sleep and the other read for a while. Very Odd. Also going down at 8.30a.M.looking forward to breakfast to find that the Inn was like the Marie Celeste. I suppose I was meant to book breakfast at the same time as the room. No mention was made on arrival. Not really complaints just observations that might achieve the final polish if rectified.

Brilliant b&b - the lodge had well equipped rooms ideally suited to an overnight stay when attending a friend's birthday party locally. £50 for a double room was brilliant value for money too.

The Beautiful King Room was clean and spacious. The pub had a vibrant atmosphere with friendly staff, and the range of beers was excellent. Breakfast wasn't available , disappointing, and the noise from the pub could be a concern for some guests.

Comfortable and tidy room
Got locked in the bathroom then got locked out of the bathroom but had no contact for emergencies and the main reception was closed. There were no fire safety instructions in the room, is that legal? No breakfast available and nowhere to hand keys in to so had to leave outside the room!

I thought the staff were terrific and made you feel welcome with a warm reception. Friendly atmosphere and a very traditional and beautifully rustic feel which I would recommend anybody wanting to tour the uk to go to and become part of a very down to earth and welcoming atmosphere. I would definately use the Emmbrook Inn again. Lovely people you can go anywhere in the world and make friends and it seemed as though I was treated like an old friend which was just a beautiful feeling. Emmbrook Inn you rock!!!!! You should be proud of such an aura you generate.
There is nothing I can think of. These people were lovely absolutely.

The friendly atmosphere in the pub made it even better for having a hearty meal after a fun day with the kids. The staff were genuinely kind!
My children wanted a mini fridge in the room for their snacks. A small addition would enhance the stay for families like ours.

Positioining for what we wanted to do. Nice Pub with quiet surroundings.
Check in and check out process didnt seem to exist, check out was completed via post. The Hotel didnt seem to be able to offer Breakfast as the Pub was not set up or staffed to cater for early morning. That said Wokingham is close by and has lovely facilties.

Warm, friendly reception, pleasant ambience in the pub, morning breakfast was freshly cooked and was served hot within minutes. Booking in and out was hassle free. We both would recommend staying here and would not hesitate in making this our first choice next time we visit this area
